What was this event all about?
This was a full-day retreat for the SEOCHC's Health Team. Their manager had gathered this staff of 30 healthcare and administrative professionals for a day of celebration and reflection of the work they do together in serving their community.
How was Sanitas Playback Theatre involved?
After a delicious lunch (Restaurant International at Algonquin College), our artistic director Brie Barker led the group through a short workshop ~ a series of interactive exercises that explored a myriad of ways in which the members of the group were connected to one another.
This was immediately followed by our ensemble's playback theatre performance. Here we explored both the participants' experience of their morning's activities and, mostly, their stories of working at the SEOCHC.
